Ravenna Park

I took my lunch to the Ravenna Park parking lot near where my mother lived as a teenager. I have pictures somewhere that I took there in 1968.

After eating I was ready to drive away but made myself get out of the car.

After walking over to the edge of the ravine I was ready to leave but made myself take a picture.

Then I made myself walk down into the ravine & take more pictures.

It was probably good for me. Cope list stuff.

The squirrel was for Chris.

I could have just come back home & taken more pictures of doorknobs, like this one from this morning.

Three Windows

I seem to be continuing my daily early morning photography, even though I haven't always posted.

This mornings is in Three Things Two things, which is where I will try to post daily for now.

I missed posting yesterday, but a picture is above - I also took another basic backyard shot, which I have been doing every morning.

I may occasionally post an early morning effort to foograf, which is supposed to be for my (more general? higher end? more serious?) photography.

Pictures

When I posted yesterday about morning photography, I didn't have in mind quite as early as 2:00 am, which is approximately when I took the above picture.

But there I was wandering the house in the wee hours, and gazing out the back window, I wondered why the sky was so light & realized it was a full moon, and looked around for it.

Worth a picture.

I converted to black & white since as light as the sky seemed for that time of night, it still looked black to the camera, and sensor noise made the camera image look like a field of red, blue, and green dots, rather than the gray my eyes saw. We lost the pale flaxen yellow of the actual moonlight, but I still like the image.

For a more "morning" morning picture, I did the below after the sun came up.

In foograf yesterday, I posted about some experiments with the "plastic camera" look, and below is another experiment in that vein, this time with plastic wrap over the camera lens.
