Sharing

About a year and a half ago, when the construction work started next door, I set this place up for Webby so he could keep an eye on the activity (with the blinds opened a bit) & snooze when things were boring.

It turned into, and has remained, Webby's routine morning spot.

Until a week or three ago, Archie left it alone. Butt hen I started occasionally finding him there instead of Webby.

I didn't know if Archie was displacing Webby or simply taking advantage of a vacancy.

Then the other day I found this scene - apparently some kind of truce (disgruntled?).

No recurrence since, that I know of, but I'm keeping my eye out.

Airplane

Melvin was running around making airplane noises with his "arms" held out like wings.

Jo suggested paper airplanes.

I've hesitated to show him how to make them because I assumed that every piece of paper would get turned inot paper airplanes.

But I thought I would risk making one out of his sight & then giving it to him.

After I made a couple of demonstration flights and give it to him, he his simply stood there & quivered.

I think he is afraid of losing it.

Beach

We went to the beach yesterday.

Who'd expect turtles out on a chilly day in early March?

But they respond to the sunlight, not the temperature.

This slide was a surprise as well.

I see the new railroad signal towers often when I am driving, but not the slide.

This guy drifted on over while I was taking pictures of the slide.

For some reason, he was all alone in the sky.

I liked the colors of this boat & its sail.

There were lots of brant - many more in another picture, but as specks. These few were up close & personal.

I liked how they were drifting along with just anough water to keep from hitting bottom between the waves.

We had good beach.
